PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

As a Member Service Representative, you'll perform a variety of teller transactions based each member's needs, and educate them about Xceed's financial products and services. Of course, it's key that you thoroughly understand and adhere to credit union standards, policies, and procedures, all while communicating effectively with both members and associates.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Primarily responsible for transaction posting and account setup and maintenance while following established Xceed policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with members and provide support by assessing member needs and recommending financial solutions.
  • Responsible for proactive sales initiatives including product referrals, account opening, and cross-selling new products as directed.
  • Meet assigned referral goals.
  • Maintain sales contact, pipeline, and other pertinent sales referral activity reports. 
  • Assist members by using consumer loan, deposit, and technology-based engagement tools.
  • Ensure Financial Center quality service standards are maintained and are consistent with established Xceed goals.
  • Ensure cooperation/teamwork and assist other staff members as needed.
  • Responsible for handling Financial Center in-bound calls and providing product service information.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all credit union products, policies, and procedures.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • One (1) to five (5) years of work experience in a sales environment. 
  • Must be reliable, cooperative, self-motivated, and a team player who possesses a quality service and sales focus.
  • Excellent problem solving, time management, and member service skills are essential.
  • Basic computer skills are a requirement.
  • Must maintain a professional image and demeanor.
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate both in oral and written form.
  • Must be results-oriented and accurate in processing data.
  • Bondability required.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

BA/BS Preferred.
