The Position At-a-Glance


As our Human Resources Manager, you'll report to the Vice President, Human Resources, and manage associate relations and compensation issues, including performance management and the annual salary administration process. You'll also conduct recruiting efforts, manage benefits and payroll administration, and coordinate HR legal compliance updates. You'll maintain and monitor the HRIS database system and all associate records, and keep open lines of communication with associates. Most importantly – you'll work with our associates on a daily basis to ensure they're receiving the benefits they need!



  • Develop the Human Resources team through managing, guiding, coaching, and mentoring, while implementing best practice policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and manage an organization-wide performance management system that supports a high-performing organization.
  • Administer the bi-weekly payroll compensation program, including: coordinate with business unit owners on the payment of monthly/annual incentive checks to include bonus, incentives, financial achievement awards and CUSO referral checks upon request.
  • Manage associate compensation and review processes, including: administer annual merit review process; analyze wage and salary structure; conduct compensation surveys and standardize job descriptions and organization charts; participate in the Job Grading Committee activities; evaluate job codes using Xceed pay structure to ensure equitable and fair compensation for all associates; assist in the administration of performance appraisal programs and legal documentation.
  • Manage end-to-end associate lifecycle, including: conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt positions, interns, and temporary associates; post open positions, write and/or edit advertisements; schedule interviews upon manager/business owner request and conduct the application process; submit requests for background checks; create job offer letters and coordinate medical screening test sites nationally; conduct exit interviews.
  • In coordination with Culture and Talent Development Team, develop and deliver new hire orientation information (benefits and Associate Handbook) and assist in annual open enrollment.
  • Manage and maintain benefit and payroll records and documents necessary to troubleshoot issues - audit regularly to ensure integrity.
  • Research and create new hire information relative to benefits material and the Associate Handbook.
  • Develop and administer programs (e.g., associate wellness program) designed to promote and maintain effective associate relations and promotions in compliance with current policies and procedures.
  • Audit monthly expenses and create monthly financial report for salary and benefit expense analysis. Work with Accounting Dept. to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain and monitor the HRIS database system and modify as needed to meet changing requirements in preparingreports in compliance with EEO.
  • Manage all activities related to Workers' Compensation, Leaves of Absences, Long-Term Disability, and I-9 records.
  • Update the monthly Associate Listing.
  • Create and maintain Manager and Associate Handbooks.
  • Assume duties of Vice President, Human Resources when Vice President, Human Resources is absent, including acting as liaison with company attorney.



  • Ten (10) years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in a credit union or corporate environment.
  • Experience in benefits and payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of compensation structures and practices. Experience with merit review process and other payroll issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, business judgment, the ability to analyze, prioritize, and problem solve while working independently or as part of a team. 
  • Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations. 
  • Must demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and professionalism in written and verbal communication.
  • Must have working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook and previous experience maintaining an HRIS database system. 



B.A./B.S. degree preferred. Certifications in Human Resources Management preferred.
