Under the direction of the Manager of Loan Servicing and Investor Relations, this individual supports all aspects of data analytics and loan servicing department reports. This individual also supports all consumer and real estate loan servicing and investor reports as needed, including communicating with investors to answer questions as they pertain to loan servicing reports and remittances. The Senior Loan Servicing Analyst will be required to make loan level and account based decisions to meet member needs and insure the safety of the Credit Union.


  • Responsible for generating critical loan servicing related department reports, utilizing both expertise and discretion to collect, analyze and report on the data as appropriate.
  • Responsible for resolving loan level member inquiries and complaints utilizing expertise and judgement to approve or deny adjustments as appropriate.
  • Assist in the efficient, professional and cost effective servicing, including compliance with relevant quality control aspects, of real estate and consumer loans serviced by or through XFCU Loan Servicing Unit.  Comply with all relevant Federal, State, or Local laws and regulations, as well as XFCU and investor requirements.  Follow up as needed to ensure all documentation and information required is received.
  • Assist as needed in generating remittance reports for investors to insure they are accurate and timely. This includes validating the reports generated by Xceed and those received by third party vendors. Confirm the remittance wires are sent accurately and in the appropriate time period.
  • Assist as needed with the various requests from each investor to insure compliance with all agreed upon terms as they relate to loan servicing, report timing, etc.
  • Communicate with investors to answer report-related questions and handle their requests.
  • Perform daily account reconciliations. Use discretion to evaluate and audit accounts and processes involving monetary transactions, utilizing both judgement and expertise to address anomalies.
  • Assists with loan servicing related reports including 5300 call reporting needs.
  • Interface with other departments as needed; as well as third party vendors/service providers with respect to the real estate and consumer loan portfolio and reports.
  • Assure the accurate and timely receipt and processing of servicing related data documents and products (conversions, modifications, corrections, etc.), while assuring their compliance with applicable State, Federal, Local laws/regulations and XFCU and investor requirements.
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of all real estate and consumer loan programs and their servicing standards/requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all servicing quality standards are met and maintained on each assigned real estate and/or consumer loan file.
  • Responsible to work with the Mortgage Department, Loan Servicing Department and XFCU Internal Auditor to facilitate smooth, timely quality control and regulatory audits of unit files.
  • Assist with the weekly processing of all XFCU closed real estate loans, including the timely reconveyance/satisfaction of lien releases to meet relevant State, Federal and Local laws/regulations, as well as XFCU internal requirements.
  • Assist with the weekly monitoring of all critical loan transactions and file maintenance activity, including tracking 1st loan payment defaults etc.
  • Support the processing of rate changes for variable rate loans and notification to members of new rates, in compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local laws/regulations, as well as XFCU internal requirements.


  • Report status and results of the Servicing Units' activities, as directed, to the Director of Loan Servincing and Investor Relations.
  • Support all aspects of collateral titling.  This includes obtaining and perfecting all collateralized liens, working with originators to create and maintain proper procedures as well as the timely and efficient release of liens.
  • Monitor insurance expiration and force-placement in conjunction with insurance vendor.
  • Responsible for payment, tracking and recovery for delinquent property taxes and premiums for force-placed property insurance on real estate secured loans.
  • Assist in the maintenance, safekeeing and tracking of consumer and mortgage loan files.
  • Responsible for accurate processing of loan charge offs and credit bureau reporting.
  • Cross train as appropriate.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience. 
  • Ability to make decisions independently and effectively.
  • Ability to evaluate member and loan level concerns, to exercise discretion and judgment to address each situation with the consideration of the members and the Credit Union.
  • Technical knowledge in the area of mortgage and consumer loan servicing.
  • Must also have a thorough knowledge of credit union regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and document findings related to new products, processes, and services, including the ability to extrapolate Member acceptance, impact on other departments, and financial implications.
  • Ability to reconcile reports and identify data errors.
  • Ability to recognize and evaluate risks and potential losses in credit union processes and the structure of credit union assets.
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage projects from inception thorough post implementation review.



High School Diploma required with a minimum of 4 years of experience in lending. Bachelors degree preferred.
