The primary orientation of the Information Security Analyst will be to provide value to our members while securing the integrity of our technology environment. The position has responsibility for helping to evaluate, develop and implement security solutions, remediation, incident response, and tracking of adherence to required security and business continuity guidelines across the Credit Union and our 3rd party IT vendors. The Information Security Analyst works with a variety of internal associates and external vendors to ensure the effective detection, response, mitigation and reporting of threats affecting networks, systems, mobile devices and critical data.


The Information Security Analyst will drive remediation of issues identified through information security and business continuity assessments of third parties providing services to our Credit Union. Individual must be highly motivated and possess strong, hands-on, technical knowledge of a wide range of information security and business continuity controls and the processes used for evaluating their design and effectiveness. Individual must possess superior written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels, up to and including executive level management, and explain the need for key controls to technical and non-technical resources.



She/he will be a key individual contributor, with accountability for researching, designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting information security and directory technology systems (software & hardware). Must have in-depth technical and business requirements knowledge to design and implement secure solutions to meet member's needs while protecting our Credit Union's assets. Can develop and implement security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse environment (e.g. client server, distributed, cloud, etc.). Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Candidate must have understanding and adherence to credit union policies and practices with the ability to interface with all organizational areas and outside resources.


She/he must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Individual must be results oriented with a passion for, and demonstrated ability in, introducing cost effective security and continuity initiatives. Candidate must have strong analytical and methodological skills and the ability to provide guidance in a complex hardware/software environment and understanding of market trends and ability to determine how to best to use technologies to meet credit union business needs. Some travel will be required.



Typically a minimum of 5 years' overall experience in the technology field and a B.A./B.S. Degree or equivalent. Information Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CEH, CCNP, GIAC, etc.) a strong plus.
